The weekly 30 minute lesson includes:

• Learning how to groom and tack a horse

• Learning how to safely handle a horse

• Proper riding position (posture, hands, legs, etc...)

• Learning how to give the horse basic commands

​

We also have a 60 minute lesson available for older children.

​

Riding will begin using a bareback pad to help the child develop their "seat".  Later the child will graduate to a youth western saddle.

​

We have two miniature horses available for lesson:

• Raven is a miniature horse / Shetland pony mix and can hold up to 120lbs

• Buttons is pure miniature horse and can hold up to 80lbs

• Both are very gentle
